What is the English Foundation Course?
A structured start in English that builds the base every other English goal depends on.
The Foundation English Course at Edubase is designed to give learners a strong start in English. Instead of preparing you for one exam, it strengthens the skills behind every exam and every real conversation: grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Classes combine grammar lessons with practical activities, including speaking and listening practice built around British Council materials. You also receive evaluation and corrective feedback, so you can see what to fix as you go.

What is the English Foundation Course?
It is a general English course that builds a strong base in grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening. It is not tied to one exam. It focuses on the everyday skills that help you communicate with confidence and prepare for future IELTS or PTE study.
Who should take the Foundation Course?
It suits beginners and learners who lack confidence, students who want a solid base before an IELTS or PTE course, and professionals who want clearer everyday English. If your exam is close and you already have a working level of English, an exam course is usually a better fit.
How long is the course and how much does it cost?
There are two plans: 2 months with 24 classes for BDT 6,000, and 3 months with 36 classes for BDT 9,000. Both include the same topics and feedback, so the choice depends on how much time you want to spend building your skills. See the plans above.
What will I learn in the course?
You will study important aspects of grammar, practise scanning for specific information in reading, and work on narrative and descriptive writing. Speaking and listening are practised with activities and materials from the British Council, and you receive evaluation and corrective feedback.
Will this course prepare me for IELTS or PTE?
It builds the language base that exam courses rely on, but it does not teach exam-specific strategy or include full mock tests. When you are ready, you can continue with our IELTS course or PTE course. If your exam is very close, see our IELTS crash course.
